Update to Where to Listen to Audioplays Online

A few weeks ago, we shared an article about where to listen to audioplays online with info on Audible Theater, L.A. Theatre Works and other websites that offer multiple shows. Recently, we learned about some other quality audio theatre that we wanted to tell you about.

Closing the Distance is a new scripted series about characters grappling with isolation while social distancing. Each episode is a self-contained story and the cast includes Broadway stars such as Jason Alexander, Tony Danza, Kelli O'Hara and Kathleen Turner. The first two episodes are available for free on Apple Podcasts with additional installments coming soon. The series is co-written by Tawni O'Dell and Lou Aronica, and directed by Tony-nominated producer Mitchell Maxwell.

Steal the Stars is a 14-episode audio drama about a secret government UFO program. Scripted by award-winning playwright Mac Rogers and recently recommended by The New York Times, this podcast is perfect for sci-fi fans and is available on multiple platforms.

The Dragoning is the first audio drama by Messenger Theatre Company and takes place in a not-so-distant future when women are turning into dragons and consuming men. The series was hatched during the pandemic, so episodes are being recorded in the actors' homes. Listen for free on Anchor, Spotify, Stitcher, Pocketcasts, and Breaker.
